Andrew/Erica/Janet, this is for you. As we were driving through Arizona I was thinking how different this trip is from the one I wanted to do in 2002. That would have been all of us driving around the west for 2 weeks in the gray van. I know you are sorry that you missed the 200 miles of scenery like to the left here and Dad pointing out how different these grasses are from the ones we passed 50 miles back.
Dan and Hannah, you crossed the country on I40, right? We were briefly on Route 66 and I was thinking you all might have driven some of that.
Off to the Grand Canyon. . . . .
Gosh darnit we missed out on the grass... Man.
ReplyDeleteWe took parts of Route 66 as well as parts of I-40. I think they are basically the same in some parts of the west. If I am thinking about everything correctly you should be going the opposite way we did. We went I-40 to California and I-10 on the way back.
